Give Me Back My Voice!

I have not been shouting.

But I have been laughing, crying coughing and talking.

Like a kitten I used to play with him,

All along I thought I had my voice.

But You stole my real voice when I was young, cute and naive.

Give me back my voice!

He doesn\’t know who I am.

Honesty is my number one principle and love my number one value.

I see you as family, treat you like a mother and most of all my best friend.

Like a kitten I used to play with him.

Little did I realize, you could never replace our playfulness.

Give me back my voice!

He doesn\’t know who I am.

You built a bridge with the most strongest material on earth called Trust.

A brigde that separates me and the man I call my father.

Like a kitten I used to play with him.

Little did I realize, you could never replace our playfulness.

Give me my voice back!

He doesn\’t know who I am.

Every step I take to cross that bridge, you take a longer step making the brigde longer.

Oh I wish one day I will make a longer step than you.

Hopefully it will not be too late for him to know who I am.

Like a kitten I used to play with him.

Little did I realize, you could never replace our playfulness.

Please give me back my voice

I am not pleading.

Give me back my voice!

Pen it Down With Wambui Kirung\’e.
