\”Hate The Players Not The Game\”

Do you have a phrase or quote that you heard or read that pushed you to a fair turn to positivity? I came across \”Hate the players not the game\” today. The phrase got me thinking…

Well, I am a player and the game is life. I am a defender, a striker and a goal keeper. I hit with accuracy and the required physics, I make perfect scores. I face other strikers without strategy and attention, I miss the ball by my finger tips.

If a game should be good, the players must be good. If life should be good, then I must be good. My decisions are my strategies, my faith is my strength and the consequences are either a goal or no goal.

If I choose to sleep lazy and wait for the big game, I will be nothing but a walking dead on that pitch. Other strikers will bypass me knock me over and crash me at the corner of my goal post. If I choose to wake up and play a little more smarter, I will bypass them and attain sweet consequences.

If I have to hate the players and the players are build by my decisions, choices, strength, patience and Faith: then my game will have no meaning and no fun, it will be just be a survival of my bad consequences.

There is a real danger of unintended consequences, of encouraging people to give up. Pessimism, if it becomes a habit, can reinforce a narrative of unstoppable decline. If there is nothing we can do, that releases us from our obligations. ~David Grinspoon
